A graveside service for Clarence Everett Carr, Sr. will be held on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Okmulgee Cemetery.
Clarence Everett Carr, Sr., age 96 passed away on April 22, 2019 in Porter, Texas. He was the husband of Elizabeth Sue (Blevins) Carr. They shared 63 years of marriage together.
Born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Michael and Minnie (Hall) Carr. He served in the Army in the 21st Infantry during World War II and was present at the attack on Pearl Harbor, HI. He worked for 25 years at American Saint-Gobain in Okmulgee, Oklahoma until the plant closed and retired from Ford Glass Plant in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He will be remembered for his gruff sense of humor, warm smile, and strong work ethic.
He is survived by his wife Sue, three children: daughter, Karen Elizabeth Hunt and her husband Larry David Hunt of Albuquerque, NM, son, Clarence Everett Carr, Jr. and his wife Sandra (Young) Carr of Peoria, IL, and daughter, Patricia Lynne Roberts and her husband Gregory Dean Roberts of Kingwood, TX, seven grandchildren: Ryan Hunt, Samantha Roberts, Taylor Roberts, Aleen Carr, Rebekah Carr, Clarence Carr III, and Alan Hunt and three great-grandchildren: Liam Hunt, Serenity Hunt, and Cora Roberts.
