Clara Jean Liggett

Clara "Jean" Liggett of Broken Arrow, OK passed from this life at the age of 91 on October 31, 2023. Jean was also lovingly known as "Nanny Jean" and "Granny" by her grandchildren. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband Ernest "John" Liggett, sister Patricia Jones, and brother Estel "Bo" Smith. Jean is survived by her son Tony Atkinson and wife Sondra Atkinson, as well as Tony's two children, Neil Atkinson, and Erin Hill and husband Anthony Hill. Jean is also survived by her daughter, Julie Hammock and husband Rick Hammock, their two daughters, Ashley Barker and husband Micah Barker, Abbie Wiebe and husband William Wiebe, as well as great granddaughter Amanda Barker. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jean was born October 12, 1932 in a farmhouse in Fellsberg, KS. She graduated from Trousdale High School in 1950. Jean loved traveling, reading, listening to music, spending time with family, and watching Wheel of Fortune. She was a strong woman who deeply loved her friends and family. Jean was greatly loved and will be extremely missed.

Jean's life will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 26th, at Main Street Loft in Broken Arrow, OK. In lieu of flowers, it was Jean's wish for a donation to be made to St. Jude, Porta Caeli, or your local animal shelter.
