In loving memory of Christy C. Moss, a cherished Mother, Grandmother, sister, and devoted Hospice Chaplain of Tulsa, Oklahoma, who peacefully passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, at the age of 77.
Christy Cason Moss, born to Raleigh and Virginia Cason on December 11, 1946, in Atlanta, Georgia, brought joy and love wherever she went. A dedicated mother and grandmother, Christy's warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
In her youth, Christy was drawn to pageantry, and her grace and poise led her to be crowned Miss Americus in the esteemed Miss Georgia and Miss USA program. Her journey continued at Augusta University, Rhema, VBI and later at Oral Roberts University, where she pursued her passion for ministry and counseling, earning both a Masters in Divinity and a Masters in Counseling.
For 28 years, Christy served the community of Tulsa as a compassionate Hospice Chaplain and family counselor, offering solace and support during life's most challenging moments. Her dedication to easing the burdens of others brought comfort and healing to countless families throughout the years.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Christy found joy in staying active, enjoying the companionship of her much loved cats, and continuing her quest for knowledge. Whether she was hitting the gym, being outdoors or sharing her wisdom with loved ones, she embraced life with a zest for learning and growth. Her presence in her local church was a testament to her faith and commitment to serving others.
Christy is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, her husband, her sister, and one beloved son. She is survived by her son, daughter-in-law's, and three adoring grandchildren, who will forever cherish her memory and the love she bestowed upon them.
In celebrating Christy's life, let us remember her unwavering love, compassion, and grace. Though she may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were touched by her kindness and generosity. Rest peacefully, dear Christy, knowing that your legacy of love will endure for generations to come.
