Christine Elois Adams (Butler), age 67, surrounded by her loving family went to be with her Heavenly Father on February 12, 2022.
Christine was born on July 14, 1954 in Tulsa, OK, her parents were Kenneth G. Dye and Mildred Elois Dye (Petcoff). Christine graduated from Union High School in 1972. Christine married David G. Adams on September 21, 1973 in Tulsa, OK. Together they had two children; sons, David W. Adams and Kenneth M. Adams. The couple made their home in Glenpool, OK in 1979. Christine worked in various industries; oil and gas, aerospace, elderly community care, child care, and child welfare services. At one time, she also owned her own cleaning company.
Most recently she enjoyed house and dog sitting. Her great passion was to give back to her community. Her philosophy in life was, "Help those who are less fortunate", and she lead by example. She volunteered for many groups in Glenpool including youth sports, she was the President of the Parks & Recreation Board, in addition to organizing and heading multiple activities in the community. She founded what is now the PTO at Glenpool Public Schools. Christine also served in her church, helping with children's church, youth group and bus ministry. She served for eight (8) years on the Glenpool City Council and was also the Vice Mayor. She was awarded the Glenpool Lifetime Achievement Award and named volunteer of the year twice. She would do anything for anyone. Christine was a devoted mother, Grammy, sister and friend. Most of all she loved spending time with her grand babies. She enjoyed traveling and garage selling. She especially loved the holidays and time with her family, and she adored her pets.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David G. Adams, and her parents.
Christine is survived by her sons, David W. Adams and wife Molly and Kenneth M. Adams of Glenpool, granddaughters Denver Grace Adams and Arrow Faith Adams, two sisters; Barbara Burdick and husband Bryan of Tulsa and Paula Keller and husband Larry of Katy, Texas, and her fur baby Opie. In addition to many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and a whole host of friends.
Celebration of Life ceremony and picnic will be held on Saturday, June 25th in Mounds, OK. Time TBA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Glenpool Public Schools in Memory of Christine Adams where they will help students and their families through various programs.
