Christel Maureen Smith

Christel Maureen (Walter) Smith age 51 passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Christel was born December 16, 1958 in Huntington, New York to Hans W. Walter and Hannelore M. (Schwantuschke) Walter. She graduated from Walt Whitman High School in South Huntington, New York and received an Associated Degree from State University of New York in Farmingdale, New York. She married the love of her life, Scott Randel Smith on September 19, 1992 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Christel loved to do scrap booking, spending time with her family members, watching Bill Cosby programs and doing jig saw puzzles.
Christel was preceded in death by her father: Hans W. Walter and her husband: Scott Smith, who passed away December 9, 2007.
She is survived by her mother: Hannelore Walter of Burlington, Vermont; her daughters: Abigail Elizabeth Smith and Caitlin Margaret Smith of Bixby, Oklahoma; her brother: Kenneth H. Walter and his wife, Cheryl of Yukon, Oklahoma; her sisters: Nancy Walter of Westberry, New York; Barbara Walter Auch and her husband, Bill of Essex Junction, Vermont along with aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Home, Glenpool, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Home Chapel. Father Ray Plank from St. Columba Mission Church, Tulsa, Oklahoma will officiate.
