Charles Theodore Taylor

September 13, 1952 — January 13, 2023

Charles Theodore Taylor was born on September 13, 1952 to Marie Lee Carter, and Theodore Aaron Taylor in Fairfax, Oklahoma.

Although Charlie did not have an idyllic childhood growing up, he never let that impact his attitude. Charlie had a work ethic that was unmatched starting from early childhood, whether he was picking cotton, hauling hay, or many of the other exhaustive jobs he did to help support his family until he finally retired from Indian Electric Coop in 2018 after 42 years.

At the age of 19 years old Charlie began 2 of the most important jobs he would have yet; being a devoted husband and father, and being a servant of The Lord. Both of these duties he carried out until he ascended peacefully to his final resting place with Christ surrounded by his loved ones on January 13, 2023.

Throughout his 70 years of life God used him in so many ways, from being a worship leader, to associate pastor, to a devoted Papa, and a loyal husband of over 50 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gwendolyn; his 2 daughters Becky McCracken, and Amber Kennedy; His Grandchildren Jade Dooley, Tyler McCracken, Brandon McCracken, and Dillon Kennedy; Great Grandchildren Dekhlan, Leona, and Westyn Dooley; and siblings Danny Hazen, and Loretta Baird.

His memorial service will be held where he served in his final years: CrossPoint Church in Sand Springs at 3:00 PM on Saturday January 21, 2023.
