Charles Elvin Rider, age 73 long time Bixby, OK resident passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at Clarehouse.

Charles was born June 25, 1942 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Charley and Lucille M. (Perry) Rider. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in Fort Hamilton, New York. He served the community of Bixby as a Volunteer Firefighter for over twenty years. Charles worked as a electrician for Saint Francis Hospital for twenty-three years and retired in the year 2000.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Ginger Erdman and Sharon Dorn.

Charles is survived by his son Charlie and his wife, Kim of Glenpool, his grandson: Dustin Martin and his wife, Samantha of Glenpool, grandson: Shelby Rider of Beggs, grandson: Austin Rider of McKinney, Texas, granddaughter: Ashlynn Rider of Glenpool, great grandsons: Colton Martin and Dakota Martin of Glenpool, mother of his child, Marilyn Rider of Bixby, niece Cindy Morrison of Broken Arrow, nephew Jeff Erdman of Baldwin, Wisconsin along with other family members and friends.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
