Charles Monroe Murphy

Charles Monroe Murphy, beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend passed away on October 9th, 2022 at the young age of 60. He is preceded in death by his father George Monroe and mother Veronda Faye Murphy.

Charles was born on October 1st 1962 in Tulsa. He loved his children and grandchildren more than anything. In addition to the love for his children he loved cooking and fishing.

Charles is survived by:

4 children - Amy Marie Chapman, Chad Monroe Murphy and his wife Stephanie, Chelbi Nadean Murphy and Abbi Danniele Appleby and her husband Curtis.

7 grandchildren – Jeremiah, Isaiah,Sofia-Rose, Addilyn, Wyatt, Ezra and Hezekiah

3 sisters Sharon Janik and her husband Don, Sandra Mills and her husband Jeff and Veronda Mason and her husband Mike.

As well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Charles gave his life to God many years ago and is now praising God in heaven above. While he is sorely missed, we know we will see him again. Please celebrate with us the life and love that Charles had to give as we send him on his final journey.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday October 15th at Lighthouse Church at 1541 W 71st Street, Tulsa at 2pm. Brother James Short will officiate. Charles will rest at the Bixby cemetery.
