Charles Arnold Grounds

A funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Charles A. “Chuck” Grounds will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 4, 2018 at Schaudt’s Funeral Service Chapel in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Schaudt’s Funeral Service from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M.

Charles A. “Chuck” Grounds passed away from this life on Tuesday, May 29 2018 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Tulsa, OK with his loving family by his side. Chuck was born in Kiersey, OK, near Durant, on November 21, 1934 to Mary and Charley Grounds. Chuck spent 59 years with the love of his life, Ellen Grounds.

A successful business man, Chuck founded Quality Cabinet Company of Jenks in 1968 which is now in its 50th year and owned by his son David. He also owned and managed many residential and commercial properties while owning his business. Chuck spent two years serving our country in the United States Army. He was a man that any free minute he had he would be spending it with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa and friend and will be deeply missed but his memories will be cherished forever.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Charley Grounds; son, Daniel Grounds; sister, Mildred Slaten; brothers, Doyle Grounds, Kenneth Grounds and baby brother Jerry.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Ellen Grounds; son, David Grounds and wife Beth; daughter, Susan Grounds; three grandchildren, Emily Sullivan and husband Carl, Kristen Grounds and fiancé Ryan, Jacob Duncan and wife Alicia; sister, Sandra Adney and husband Eddie; sisters in law, Linda Grounds and Frances Grounds; also survived by son, Don Griffin and family.
