Charles Andrews

Charles Daniel Andrews, a resident of Tulsa and former longtime resident of Dewar, went to be with his Lord on Monday, October 25, 2010 in Tulsa at the age of 74. He was born on February 17, 1936 to Dennis Albert and Minnie Bell (Strebeck) in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Mr. Andrews served in the United States Army and retired as a car salesman with Ernie Miller Pontiac in Tulsa. On June 1, 1955, he married Peggy Morris. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, David and Jimmy Andrews and two sisters, Ruth Ann and Linda Andrews. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Peggy Andrews of Tulsa; three children, Charles Daniel Andrews Jr. and wife, Janet of Tulsa, Dr. George Dennis Andrews and wife, Sherry of Stroud and Dr. Angelia Gay Andrews of Altus; one sister, Betty Mattox of Spring, TX and one brother, Berl Andrews of Catoosa; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2010 at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Henryetta with Brother Jack Vance officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Henryetta. Pallbearers will be Jacob Andrews, Christopher Lazar, Adam Lazar, Daniel Andrews, Brian Andrews, Taylor Andrews and Christian Andrews. Visitation will be Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home. Services are pending under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home of Henryetta.
