He is survived by and proud of his two loves in this part of his life, his wife, Sheila L. Vickers and son Justin L. Kanipe. In a previous part of his life, his ex-wife, Sherry and her children Stacy and Doug and in still another part, an ex-wife, Elizabeth. An Aunt, Nancy Shoemaker and several cousins, Greg, Kelly and Scott Shoemaker, Kenny Vickers, Kandy & Carol and others with in-laws John and Karen Claus of Bixby, OK and the whole Libbert family of Missouri. His friends also knew of his love for them. Preceded in death by his father, J.M. “Vick” Vickers, mother, Dorothy M. Vickers, sisters, Vicki K. Vickers and Linda G. (Vickers) Straughan, all of Houston, Texas.
Over 50 years a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), he was a certified Journeyman Lineman and Master Electrician licensed initially with the City of Houston and other cities and recently a state license with the State of Texas. One of his companies, High Voltage Consultants, was an electrical safety consulting firm. He also worked in the health care field managing a doctor’s clinic and then starting his own clinic with his wife, Sheila.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Schaudt's Funeral Service and Cremation Care Center. Final inurnment will be in Forest Park Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Family and friends may send memories and condolences to the family, online www.schaudtfuneralservice.com.
