Cecilia Florene Hammer

Cecilia Florene Hammer gained her wings early Tuesday morning, November 24, 2015 at her home in Tulsa. She was born May 28, 1915 in Sentinal, OK, the daughter of Everette A. and Alma (Tidball) Stapp.

Cecilia graduated from Sentinel High School in 1932 and later attended nursing school in Tulsa, becoming an LPN later in life. She married Crandall E. (Bill) Hammer February 16, 1940 in Yuma, AZ. Cecilia also helped her husband with their family business, Bill's "T" Record Shop in downtown Tulsa. Cecilia was always known to be a hard worker.

Cecilia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters; and her son-in-law Bruce Taylor; survived by daughter Sandye Taylor; daughter Sherry Staires and husband, Michael. grandchildren: Alan and Tiffany Taylor; Jason and Matthew Staires; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private gathering was held on Thanksgiving Day at her home in Tulsa. May her memory be eternal.
