Cecil "Toney" Phillips

Cecil "Toney" Phillips was born June 24, 1948 in Baton Rouge, LA. Toney is preceded in death by his parents: Cecil and Alice Phillips of Covington, LA. He is survived by siblings: Laurance Phillips of Lolo, MT; Annette Novinger of Broken Arrow, Ok; Catherine Wirtz of Covington, LA; Frank Phillips of Baton Rouge, LA and many nieces and nephews.

Toney attended Southeastern University for three years in Hammond, LA where he majored in English. He worked faithfully for his clients in his own lawn business. Toney was a coin and stamp collector, loved LSU sports, working crossword puzzles and fishing. He attended Life Senior Services in Broken Arrow for many years and was loved for his servant's heart, harmonica playing, keen sense of humor and making people laugh. His gentle spirit and kindness will be missed by all.

Toney's ashes will be interred in Covington, LA, where he lived most of his life.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Life Senior Services, 3106 S. Juniper, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
