Cecil Coleen Cox

Cecil Coleen Cox, age 81, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019, at her home in Sand Springs.

She was born on October 9, 1937, in Vian, Oklahoma, to Homer and Opal (Hughes) Bennett. She graduated from Will Rogers High School, and was later married to Richard Lawrence Cox on October 2, 1957. They shared 44 years together before his passing. Cecil had jobs as a cash office manager, K-Mart pantry manager, and a baby sitter for her grandkids. She enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening, traveling, but most of all, canning. However, her love above all was for her family, and the time she spent with them, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include: children, Sandra Yvonne Stanford, and husband Rick, of Sand Springs, Richard Duane Cox, and wife Jeannie, of Mannford, John Paul Cox, and wife Chris, of Sand Springs, Allison Cleo Cox, and husband Leon, of Tulsa; grandchildren, Crystal M. Logan, and Husband Brice, of Augusta, Kansas, Richie Cox, of Oklahoma City, Rachel Overton, of Tulsa, Trey Smith, of Texas, Alissa Overton, of Tulsa, Grace Logan, Maycee Logan, Trinity Logan, all of Augusta, Kansas, Amanda Smith, of Tulsa, Brittany Smith, and husband Matt, of Colorado, Trenten Combs, of Colorado, Avery Smith, of Texas, Kayla Smith, of Glenpool, and Ayden Dishman, of Glenpool; siblings, Homer Wayne Bennett, and wife Natalie, of Sand Springs, and Linda Joyce Smith, and husband Lance, of Sapulpa.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel, with Chaplain Roger Miller officiating. Burial will follow the service, and take place at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Tulsa.
