Cathy M. Blevins

Cathy M. (Powers) Blevins, age 48 of Bixby, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Cathy was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on June 7, 1959 to George W. Powers and Thelma (Cookson) Powers. In 1977 she graduated from Broken Arrow High School.
Cathy married the love of her life, Richard Blevins on January 7, 1978. They would have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary next month.
She attended Tulsa Community College to further her studies in business. For six years she worked for Dr. John Sears as an Administrative Assistant and previously had worked for Citizens Security Bank as a Personal Banker. Cathy enjoyed spending time with her family members and was an avid Kansas University fan.
Mrs. Blevins was preceded in death by both parents: George W. and Thelma Powers.
Cathy is survived by her husband: Richard Blevins of Bixby; her daughter: Rebecca Blevins of Bixby; her brother: Garry Powers of Bixby; four sisters: Peggy Parks and her husband, Randy of Rogers, Arkansas; Sherry Bogart and her husband, Gary of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Georgia Cook and her husband, Todd of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Janet Ballor and her husband, Brian of Smithville, Missouri along with numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be Sunday December 30, 2007 from 1:00-6:00 p.m. at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2007 at Riverview Baptist Church, Bixby, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Double Springs Cemetery in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Reverend Randy Parks will officiate.
Pallbearers are: Daniel Parks, Jordan Bogart, Eli Cook, Jack Poole, Jim Blevins and David Blevins.
