Her Life

Carolyn Taulbert Ford, the daughter of Mary Morgan Taulbert and Moses Taulbert Jr. was born in Glen Allan, Mississippi on September 26, 1952 surrounded by a host of loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Carolyn spent most of early years with her Great-Aunt, Elna Peters Boose affectionately known by all as Mama Ponk. As her siblings before her, she attended Glen Allan Elementary school and graduated high school at Glen Allan High School. She received her undergraduate degree from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma and her Master’s Degree from Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi.

Carolyn’s early professional years were those of an educator in both Mississippi and Oklahoma as an elementary and kindergarten educator. Carolyn, the educator has left an indelible imprint upon educators and students throughout Oklahoma and Mississippi. And among her most cherish memories are the times she traveled with her Evangelist mother, Mary Taulbert, throughout the United States sharing the message of God’s Unfailing Love.

On July 6, 1985, Carolyn was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Archie Ford, Sr. of Cordele, Georgia and to that union of 32 years were born four children: Mary Elizabeth Ford (Tulsa), Archie Ford Jr. (Tulsa), Sara Frances Ford (Jackson, Mississippi) and Anthony Ri`Chard Ford (Tulsa).

The legacy of Carolyn Ford will be forever cherished by her husband, children and her siblings: Clifton and (Barbara) Taulbert, Claudette and (Charles) Perry, Clara White (Deceased), Claiborne and (Lynne) Taulbert, and Connie and (Douglas) Smith: Her husband’s siblings-Annie Johnson (Clarence), Aaron Ford (Debra), Veronica Ford and Joseph Ford (Deceased). Also charged to continue her walk of love are all of her nieces and nephews; Gregory Taulbert, Cheryl Taulbert (deceased), Cassondra Smith, Jason and Sadie White, Jarred White, Marshall Taulbert, Charles Jr. and (Keyshia) Perry, Cedric Perry, Anne Kathryn Taulbert (Deceased), Hugh Ervin, Kali Ervin, Cory Ray, DJ Wright, Consuela Reese, Rustavious Ford, Aaron Ford, Adrian Ford and Tiffany Johnson. A host of cousins, special friends with whom she grew up with and met along her college journey, including the many young children she touched and loved will help continue to keep her Legacy of God’s Love alive.
