Carole Elizabeth Pritzos, 61, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away on February 21, 2025, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was born on March 3, 1963, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She is survived by her loving son, Alec Pritzos, and daughter-in-law, Shannon Pritzos. She also leaves behind two cherished grandchildren, Linden and Rowan, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her brother, James Martz, and his wife, Tina Martz, as well as her sisters, Suzanne Pages and Audrey Havenstrite.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Moore; her husband, Thomas Pritzos; her mother-in-law, Fefe Pritzos; and her longtime partner, David Speegle.
Carole and Thomas shared 15 wonderful years together before his passing in 1994, leaving her to raise Alec as a single mother. She devoted herself entirely to his upbringing, filling the roles of both mother and father with strength and resilience.
Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a devoted Yiayia, always surprising them with thoughtful gifts and creating special traditions, like their beloved "pizza dates" and little moments that made them feel special. Every moment with them was precious, and she made sure they always felt loved.
She built a fulfilling 18-year career at DIRECTV/AT&T, where she thrived because of her gift for making others feel valued. She had a way of turning everyday conversations into meaningful moments, making each caller feel as if she had known them forever. Her ability to connect with people was effortless, and it made her exceptional at what she did.
Beyond work, she had a deep passion for cooking. She loved preparing meals for her family, sharing recipes, and discovering new foods. Gathering loved ones around the table for a meal she had made brought her immense joy. She also loved going to the casino with David, her mom, and other family and friends-whether it was a quick trip for fun or a night out together, she cherished the time spent with those closest to her. Another favorite pastime was going to the movies with her son and mom, a tradition they shared for years, always enjoying the experience of watching a great film together.
She had a unique way of telling stories-never short, always full of detail, and often going off on an adventure before making her point. Her stories were a signature part of who she was, keeping conversations entertaining and always worth listening to.
Her love and loyalty were most evident in the friendships she nurtured for over 45 years-relationships that embodied family and sisterhood. She was a true example of what it means to be a friend, demonstrating that lasting bonds are built on love and unwavering support.
Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave so freely will continue to shape the lives of those she touched. She will be deeply missed, but the warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion she shared will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
