Carol Sue Pfriem

Carol Sue Pfriem, 52, died on Wednesday, February 16, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born July, 25, 1964 in Bitburg, Germany to Leonard and Karin (Hodel) Calkins. After her fathe'rs tour in Germany, her family returned to Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from Bexley High School and later attending Ohio State University and obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to pursue her professional career. She worked for Shadow Mountain Institute for four years before becoming a stay at home mom to two boys, Tommy and Bobby. She returned to work, teaching Pre-K at Cedar Ridge Elemntary School, a division of Union Public Schools. Carol was full of life and love. She enjoyed crafting and scrapbooking.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Karin (Hodel) Calkins.

Survivors include her father, Leonard Calkins of Florida; children, Robert Pfriem of Broken Arrow and Thomas Pfriem of Tulsa; siblings, Kathy Bingham of Columbus, Ohio and Heather of Arizona; and many, many friends. She will be greatly missed.

Services will be Monday, February 20, 2017 at 6:30pm at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service.
