Carlton Merle Cook passed away with loving family by his side Friday afternoon, October 18, 2019, at the age of 73 years. Carlton was born on June 27, 1946, in Battle Creek, MI to his parents, Carlton and Irene (Martin) Cook, Sr.
Carlton was the owner of Crooked Hook Bait & Tackle shop in Wagoner, OK for many years. He helped numerous Oklahomans with their fishing needs on their way to Ft. Gibson Lake. Carlton was a workaholic who always spoke his mind. He was usually found at the bait shop 7 days a week, but on those days not at the shop, he could be found fishing or occasionally on the golf course. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and other mechanical things. Carlton also enjoyed collecting baseball cards, sports memorabilia, stamps, die-cast cars, fishing reels and lures.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carlton Cook, Sr. and Irene Cook.
Carlton leaves many loving memories with his family, son, Keith and wife, Stacey Cook, of Broken Arrow, son, David and wife, Terri Cook, of Battle Creek, MI; son, Charlie Cook; brother, Robert Cook, of Richland, MI; grandsons, Kyle Cook and Evan Cook; granddaughters, Amanda Cook and Christine Cook; several other loving family members; and a host of friends.
Private Family services will be held at a later date.
