Carla Jean Campos

November 10, 1958 — April 3, 2023

Carla Jean Campos, a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2023 at the age of 64. Carla was born to Wanda and Carl Fulps in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on November 10, 1958.

Carla was a beautiful mother, sister, friend, and an amazing artist. She had a unique perspective of beauty and her heart shines in the paintings she leaves with us. She was a graduate of Oral Roberts University with a bachelors degree in art. In 1981 she was married to Jim Campos and they later lived in Colombia, South America for 6 years where she owned and designed an athleisure-wear company and became a mother to her first daughter, Daniella. Her second daughter, Jessica, was born in Tulsa four years later. Carla briefly owned a small antique store in Broken Arrow called Oil Lamps, Fleas, & Rust and later worked for the Department of Human services of Oklahoma for 20 years. She gave hundreds of needy families access to food, employment, financial support and childcare. Most of her clients were single mothers, and she also helped families of disabled children find resources and support.

Carla is survived by her daughter Daniella Sowers; daughter Jessica Lee and her spouse Matthew Lee; grandson Braden McCann; grandson Shepherd Lee; granddaughter Brooklyn Blocker; granddaughter Aubrey Blocker; brother David Fulps and his spouse Lynn Fulps; brother Randy Fulps; sister Dianna Calhoun; and numerous other family members.
