Carl Smith

September 2, 1967 — January 6, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carl Ray Smith, 57, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Carl departed this life on Monday, January 6, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was born on September 2, 1967, in Okemah, Oklahoma, to Robert and Betty Lee, and his journey was marked by a profound love for his family, friends, and community.

Carl was a man who lived life to the fullest and always put his family first. A devoted father, he loved all of his children deeply, but his special bond with Karlee was known to everyone-they were inseparable, not just father and daughter but the best of friends. Carl's warmth extended beyond his immediate family; he shared a brotherly bond with his dear friend Steve, who stood by his side in moments of need.

Those who knew Carl will remember his mischievous sense of humor and his deep affection for his beloved cat, George-though he would never openly admit just how much he cared for him. Carl's pride and joy, however, were his Harley motorcycle and his truck. Riding his Harley brought him unparalleled happiness, and he often found ways to share that joy, even if it meant playfully annoying his neighbors with the roar of his engine.

Carl was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Cleo and Earnest Underwood; his paternal grandparents Eva and Clarence Smith; and his father, Robert Earl Smith.

He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his mother, Betty Presslauer, and stepfather, Siegfried Presslauer, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; his brother, Robert Wayne Smith, and niece, Brooke Smith, of Okemah, Oklahoma; his son, Gunner Smith; his daughters, Ashley Smith and her spouse, Ashley Brand, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Karlee Smith, and Kendall Smith.

Carl's vibrant spirit and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A celebration of Carl's life will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Schaudt's Glenpool-Bixby Funeral Service, located at 1329 East 151st Street, Glenpool, OK 74033. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and remember Carl's life and the love he brought into the world.
