On Sunday, March 16th this world lost a beautiful, caring wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to many. Cara Deanette Bridges, age 43, passed from us with family and friends close by her side.
Cara was born in Henryetta, Oklahoma on March 12, 1965 to Carl Chaney and Phyllis (Marshall) Chaney.
Cara graduated from Henryetta High School in 1983. She also attended OSU Okmulgee Technical School and received a degree in Business Administration. On June 25, 1983 Cara married the love of her life, Lance Bridges.
Cara enjoyed shopping with her friends. She was a very supportive mother and attended her two sons' baseball, football, basketball and band functions. Cara also had a weakness for goodies and liked to shop at Merritt's Bakery.
Cara is survived by her husband, Lance Bridges of Mounds, Oklahoma; her loving sons: Cash and Cade Bridges; her mother in-law Hazel Sullins; devoted parents: Carl and Phyllis Chaney; sisters: Vicki Chaney and Penny Sadler; grandmother: Katherine Chaney and the late Jess Chaney; Billie and Phillip Marshall. Cara was full of life and loved her family deeply. She will be missed immensely. Cara was devout in her charity work with the Tulsa Area United Way for eighteen years and very involved in her church. The loss of this precious individual will be felt by all.
In lieu of flowers friends can contribute to a memorial fund at Citizens Security Bank and Trust Company, 381 E. 141st Street, Glenpool, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 18, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service in Glenpool, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 19th at 1:00 p.m. at Coweta Independent Baptist Church, 131st and Highway 51, Coweta, Oklahoma. Reverend J. C. Fulton will officiate. Interment will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers are: Jason Sadler, Charles Reed, Russell Hayes, Brother Hill, Tony Jones and Phillip Marshall.
