Brandon Hester

November 5, 1965 — November 7, 2024

Brandon "Brando" Leon Hester, 59 who was father to two 4 legged children. He passed away Nov. 7th, 2024, way too soon, but left an Incredible mark on so many people's lives. He was seen as being "grumpy," but anyone that truly knew him (and he would let in), knew that he was just a big ol' teddy bear with a big heart, until it gave out and he is no longer here with us. "The man, the myth, the legend, and regular jokester." His tattoos will forever be a part of so many people, that he tattooed on or just left a mark on our hearts. He was survived by "Little Debbie" (zebra cakes), Crown & TX (whiskey), and of course, nachos and tacos.

He was a tattoo artist for 30+ years by trade and was known as Brando, Peaches, Chuckles and other names as well. His really close friends, called him, "Big Boy," B, Brandon and Brando. He traveled all over the USA to do "guest spots" at different tattoo shops. He was a Bass player who LOVED KISS and played in cover bands where he was known as "Big 6." He played with many individuals throughout the years who were or became his friends and if you were lucky, his family as well. His talents went way beyond him just being a tattoo artist. Anything that he picked up, no matter what medium it was, he was exceptional and exceeded anyone's expectations. He was a great cook, musician and an all around artist. His artistic work can be seen all around Tulsa.

He could tell you many stories from places he had lived and been to! He could quote lines from movies and TV shows. He was an avid Mon & Fri night wrestling fan (and had been for years) which he shared this love with his other friends who were wrestling fans as well. He read his horoscope and looked at what his astrological sign said on a daily basis. He didn't like texting because he would rather hear your voice on the phone. There isn't enough room to express how Incredible he truly was.

He is survived by his 4 legged children, Eva & Lawless and "Norma" his 1958 Ford Fairlane. His mother, Rosemary Damron (Cook) of OKC. His siblings who lovingly called him "Bub." His sister Denise Singley (Damron) and her partner Chad. His brother Jon Damron and wife Tiffany. His little sister Rebecca Whitehead (Damron) and husband Teddy. Niece's and Nephews, Lanie Singley (son Brogan), Jay Singley, Brynn and Parker Nguyen All from OKC. Angel McGary (Dublin Hester) of Tx. Along with cousins and MANY friends that were all family too him too. Unfortunately too many to name, but You know who you are and being referred to.

He is proceeded in death by his great grandmother, Rosie Gilbreath, Grandfather and Grandmother, Ray & Gladys Cook and his Uncle Harvey Cook all of OKC.

A Memorial will be held on Saturday January 18, 2025 in OKC in the evening. More details to follow. We ask that you wear pink (his favorite color) and/or KISS (his favorite band). "Fly High B!" You are already missed more than you would ever be able to fathom.
