After her graduation in 1973, Bonnie attended Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California, before returning to Weatherford and studying Theater at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
After college, she married and raised two children, and was later joined by three grandchildren who she loved and cherished. In addition to her family, Bonnie remained devoted to the creative arts throughout her life, as a writer, painter, musician, and actor.
She is survived by her son Jared Paul Hanks of Elk City, Oklahoma; her daughter Anne Adams (Al Adams) of Bristow, Oklahoma; her three grandchildren Katelynn Adams, Kyle Adams, and Klaton Adams; and her two brothers, Baker Egerton of West Chester, Pennsylvania, and Mont Egerton of San Francisco, California.
Her family will celebrate Bonnie's life privately due to the pandemic and is planning to conduct a memorial service and tree planting in her memory in March 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NAMI, the National Allicance on Mental Illness, at www.nami.org.
