Bonnie M. Gilbreath died Thursday, October 29, 2009, in Tulsa, Oklahoma after a short battle with lung cancer. She was 68 years old. Bonnie was born April 23, 1941, in Savannah, Georgia to Marvin E. Davis and Madeline E. (Jordan) Minton.
Bonnie graduated from John Marshall High School in 1958, and furthered her education in nursing in Tulsa, OK. She was a retired registered nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK where she worked for many years and will be remembered by many coworkers and patients as a loving and gentle caregiver. Bonnie was a generous and caring woman and will be greatly missed by her family and loved ones even though they know she is now with her best friend and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Bonnie is survived by four daughters, Marlene Odom and her husband: Van of Muskogee, OK, Lois Sharp and her husband Steve of Tulsa, OK, Stacy Jenkins, and Anita Dunn and her husband Toby of Glenpool, OK along with nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husbands, Burk Gilbreath, and Walt Erwin who passed away October 23, 1990.
A memorial service will be held at the Mounds Christian Church located at 1216 Dorman, Mounds, Oklahoma on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor L.O. McNabb officiating.
