Bonnie Argue

September 1, 1929 — August 26, 2014

Born in Pontiac Michigan, Bonnie was the eldest of five children. She met her husband, Watson Argue Jr., at Central Bible College, Springfield, Mo. They were married in 1952 and soon after began their life long work as ministers of the Gospel of Christ. The couple had three boys, Dru, Kent and Terry. After several years pastoring two churches in Southern CA, the First Assembly of God Church in Santa Rosa invited Watson and Bonnie to assume the pastoral role and they accepted. The church later changes its name to Christian Life Center.

Bonnie directed the church choir and in the early 1970'sorganized the annual presentation of the Singing Christmas Tree seen by thousands of Sonoma County residents. Her music ministry impacted many as did her teaching.

After Watson passed away in 1991, Bonnie accepted a new role as Pastor of a Hong Kong church working with immigrant women. She served there for 9 years then returned to the states and served as Dean of Women at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington.

She is survived by two brothers and a sister, her three sons, two daughters- in-law, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to share in a final farewell service to be held Thursday September 4th, 1PM at the First Presbyterian Church 1550 Pacific Ave, Santa Rosa.
