Bobby Jackson

Bobby Lee Jackson Bobby Lee Jackson, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011 at the age of 78. He was born Thursday, December 15, 1932 to Robert and Annie (Brown) Jackson in Okemah, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Arbeka Methodist Church and had gone to Sunday School at the Belvin Baptist Church until he became ill. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Annie Jackson and one daughter, Connie Jackson. Survivors include his wife, Sally Jackson of the home; six daughters, Ramona Bender and husband, George of Anna, Texas, Margaret Dunivan and husband, James of Powhatan, Virginia, Rita Newton and husband, Michael of Van Buren, Arkansas, Paula Jackson of McAlester, Edna Ross and husband, Tim of Okmulgee and Rita Zuniga of Tulsa; two sisters, Martha Jackson of Okemah and Ann Harjo and husband, John of Midwest City; foster brother, Dale Jackson of Oklahoma City; two aunts, Christina Luttrell of Okemah and Jeanette Worley of California; twenty-one grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Wake Services will be held Thursday, March 10, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee with Reverend Alfred Berryhill officiating. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011 at the Belvin Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Colbert officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Keith Phillips, Shannon Starr, Warren Franks, Tim Ross, James Starr and John Billie. Honorary Pallbearers will be Roy Starr, David Starr, Michael Starr and Terry Starr.
