Bobby Gene Williams

Bobby Gene Williams age 76 of Glenpool, Oklahoma passed away Thursday evening at SouthCrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mr. Williams was born October 22, 1930 in Jones, Oklahoma to Robert Williams and Ada (Taylor) Williams. Bob attended schools in Jones, Oklahoma. On May 30, 1973 he married La Verne (Doake) Williams in Edmond, Oklahoma. Bob moved to Glenpool from Edmond, Oklahoma seventeen years ago. He worked for ten years as a road maintenance worker for the State of Oklahoma before retiring. Bob enjoyed watching football games and spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by both his parents: Robert and Ada Williams.
He is survived by his wife: La Verne Williams of Glenpool, Oklahoma; two sons: Richard K. Long of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Kevin C. Long and his wife Diane of Beggs, Oklahoma; his daughter: Karla Tarango of Glenpool, Oklahoma; his brother: Wes Williams and his wife, Jacque of Owasso, Oklahoma; three sisters: Daisy Stout of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Anne Woodward and her husband, Paul of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and Ruth Burke and husband, Jessie of Porter, Oklahoma; six grandchildren: Kara Medina, Angela Chairez-Ahumada, Kevin Lee Long, Jennifer Long, Michael Long, Christina Long; six great grandchildren: Katie Long, Michael Medina, Adam Medina, Matthew Long, Jessica Long and Josh Long.
Services are private at the convenience of the family.
