Bobby Gene Dummer

Bobby Gene Dummer, 72 years passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday, December 12th 2015 at the home of his sister Sharon and brother in law Darrell in Hallett, Oklahoma.

Bobby was born to Lester R. and Nora K. Dummer Rowe on January 12, 1943. He worked in the oil field industry and shrimp boats in Texas. Bobby was proud to be a Cherokee citizen. He enjoyed reading, learning, fishing, traveling and spending time with his numerous friends. He joined the United States Army in 1960 as a paratrooper in the 101st Regent combat team, serving until he was discharged in 1963. He attended Chilocco and Pawnee Indian schools.

Bobby married LouAnn McGuire in June of 1964. From that a union was born twin sons Rick and Ron Dummer. Bobby married the love of his life Barbra McGraw in the spring of 1975. He was married to her until her passing. He is survived by his brothers Howard and Steve Dummer of Ponca City, sister Andrea Kitchett of Marland Oklahoma, and Sharon Guthrie of Hallett Oklahoma, and son Ron Dummer of Hominy Oklahoma also numerous grand children and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Lester and Nora sister Leslie Lafollette brother Lester Dummer Jr. and Chuck Dummer, wife’s LouAnn and Barbra, along with son Rick Dummer.

Bobby’s journey through this world was ended but his journey with the Lord has just begun.
