Bobby Bowen

Bobby DeVan Bowen, a lifelong resident of Weleetka, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 81. He was born on July 5, 1929 in Pharoah, Oklahoma to McKinnley Clarence Bowen and Georgia Yarbrough. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Frieda Griffin. He is survived by his 4 children, Mark Bowen of Weleetka, OK, Gaia Kelough and husband Jimmy of Weleetka, OK, Laurie Morris of Tulsa, OK and Shaundi Meisner of Portland, TX; one sister, Velma “Ruth” Huddleston; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24 form 12:00pm to 8:00pm and on Wednesday, May 25 from 8:00am to 12:00pm. Services will be held on Wednesday, May 25 at 2:00pm at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Henryetta.
