Bob, a long time Tulsa resident, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Bob was born July 6, 1935 along with his twin Betty Jean to Jack and Ruby Stewart. Bob’s passing came after a year long battle with non-alcohol related liver disease.
Bob, Betty and his older brother, Terry, grew up in Tulsa and Fayetteville, Arkansas, graduating from high school in Fayetteville. Bob attended several colleges and universities before becoming a beautician in Tulsa. Over the years Bob owned several salons before moving into sales. Bob sold produce and dog food before joining Sam’s Club where he spent 12 years working in product demonstration.
Bob had a life long love of horses and over the years he bred and raised numerous quarter horses. Some winning, most almost winning. For the last 15 years he raised and cared for horses on his five acre home in Jenks.
Although Bob never married and had no children, his life was filled with many dear friends. Bob is predeceased by his parents Jack and Ruby Stewart and his twin sister Betty Fields.
Bob is survived by his brother Terry and wife Roselyn of Fort Myers, Florida, his brother-in-law Lee Fields of Tulsa and cousins Bill Cotton and Delano Cotton of Fayettville, Arkansas. Bob was very close to his nephews and nieces: Steve Fields, Terry Stewart Jr, Lisa Angleton,Kathryn Baulis all of Tulsa, and Stan Fields of Chicago. Bob was blessed with many great nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to acknowledge and extend heart felt thanks to Steve’s wife Tracey Fields for the loving care which she has provided not only for Bob, but the rest of us in caring for Bob over the last year.
