Billy Ray Nix

Billy Ray Nix age 38 passed away suddenly Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at his Jenks, Oklahoma residence.
Mr. Nix was born October 16, 1971 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jimmy Ray Nix and Karen Renee Phillips. He graduated from Jenks High School Class of 1989 and received a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from Langston University. Billy had served his country in United States Army and the United States Navy. Billy was a Revenue Agent with the Internal Revenue Service at the time of his passing. In his spare time he enjoyed the outdoors target shooting, repelling, spending time with his family and will be remembered for his sense of humor.
He is survived by his mother and step-father: Karen and Thomas Laust; his father Jimmy Ray Nix; his grandmother: Vella Brazeal; his sons: Billy, Richard, Addison, and Raymond Nix; his brothers: Christopher and Michael Nix and Brian Laust; his sisters: Misty Nix, Rebecca Jeffery, and Kimberly Stoy; his uncles: Bobby Phillips, Dennis Phillips, Ricky Nix and Randy Nix; his aunts: Velma Bright, Linda Ayers, and Vicki Nix along with many cousins, nieces and nephews, other family members, friends and acquaintances.
Visitation will be held Thursday March 25, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Schaudt's Funeral Service, 719 E. 141st Street, Glenpool, OK.
Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2010 at Tulsa Hills Baptist Church, 8600 s. Union Ave Tulsa, Oklahoma. Reverend Troy Hayes will officiate. Interment will immediately follow at the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma.
