Billie Jewell Coleman Billie Jewell Coleman, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Friday, April 01, 2011 at the age of 81. She was born July 31, 1929 to Thomas Clarence and Freda (Petty) Songer in Hugo, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Clarence and Freda Songer and husband, Jacob Coleman. Survivors include two children, Barbara Powell and Jerry Bacon both of Okmulgee; two grandchildren, Riley Powell of Tulsa and Jerry Dombek of Henryetta; two great grandchildren, Holice Powell of Tulsa and Jerry Dombek, Jr. of Henryetta. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2011 at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee with Chaplain Shannon Morgan officiating. Burial will be at the Swink Cemetery in Swink, Oklahoma under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
