Beverly June Richardson, 86, of Pauls Valley, OK passed away Monday, January 15th, 2018 at her daughter's home in Okmulgee.
Beverly was born in Bethany, OK on April 15, 1931, a daughter of the late Lorete May (Cambron) and Walter Lee Briggs. She graduated from Putnam City High School and went to work for Pittsburgh Plate Glass in Oklahoma City. That is where she met her husband James Leo Richardson. The couple married on April 15, 1950 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Beverly was a true Proverbs 31 woman. She was a wonderful cook, seamstress, homemaker and investor. She loved her three children dearly and taught them to love the Lord and maintain high character values.
In 1958 the family moved from Oklahoma City to Pauls Valley. Beverly was a Den Mother for her sons' scout troop. She worked many years for the City of Pauls Valley as a clerk in the Water Department. She moved on from there to be the Administrative Assistant to Jack Hart in his Investment business. Her retirement years were spent making hundreds of crochet items and especially tiny hats for Neonatal Intensive Care patients.
Preceding Beverly in death were her parents, maternal grandmother who raised her, Georgia Annler, her two brothers Laurence Briggs and Walter Lee Briggs, Jr.
Beverly is survived by her Husband Leo of Pauls Valley, a daughter, Anna Lenora Volz, (husband Gary) of Okmulgee, OK; two sons James Duward Richardson (wife Claudia) of Elizabethtown, KY; Timothy Leo Richardson, (Wife Connie) of Pauls Valley, OK. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandsons, her Uncle Carl Briggs and many nieces and nephews. A very dear friend that she considered her "sister" is Hazel McGregor
Visitation and Viewing will be Friday, January 19, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. and service will be held Friday, January 19, 2018 1:00 PM both at Valley Christian Church, 2001 S. Walnut Street in Pauls Valley, OK. Interment will follow at Mr. Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley, Ok.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to A Vow Hospice 2400 N Hemlock Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
