Betty Presser

Betty Presser Betty Presser, age 81, passed away peacefully Monday, January 31, 2011 and is finally home. She was born June 9, 1929 to James Madison and Jonnie (Patterson) Lankford in Paris, Tennessee. Betty was a humble woman, wonderful wife and mother who considered her biggest accomplishment to be raising her sons. She was an outstanding cook and also worked for several years in retail where she had a natural talent for interacting with others. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Harrell Presser of the home, children Gary Presser and wife Shashi and Wayne Presser and wife Marianne, all of Albuquerque, N.M., grandchildren Matt and his wife Erica, Mica and her husband Brian and numerous great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee with Reverend Lawrence Matlock officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
