Betty Marie Gill

Betty Marie Gill age of 92 passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Betty was born on April 23, 1923 in Mounds, Oklahoma. She attended schools in Mounds, Oklahoma. On November 1, 1940 she married Blaine Gill. In 1963 she moved to Kingfisher, Oklahoma and most recently, she moved to Jenks, Oklahoma.

Betty married young and had her children early. After raising her family she embarked on a new career in the retailing industry. She worked for T.G. & Y in Oklahoma City and in 1976 she joined Wal-Mart .Through her hard work and leadership skills she soon became something of a pioneer by being one of the first women named as a Manager of a Wal-Mart Store.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James L. and Mary Dillman, sisters Martha and Ruth Dillman; and two brothers Flynn and George Dillman.

Betty is survived by her two children, daughter Dorinda Wolf of Sedalia, Missouri and son Gareld Gill and his wife Cindy Walter Gill of Jenks, Oklahoma. She is also survived by six grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Celebration of Life services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the First Christian Church, 102 S. 7th Street, Kingfisher, Oklahoma.
