Bette Rae Kennedy, age 66 passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008 at SouthCrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Bette was born September 20, 1941 to Ray Edmiston and Maxine (Ruyle) Edmiston Gregory in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated from Jenks High School in 1959. Bette married the love of her life, Larry Frank Kennedy, on June 22, 1960 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
Bette resided in Jenks all of her life and for forty years she was a hairdresser. She was the owner of Bette's Beauty Shop for thirty years and most recently worked at Mane Street Station in Jenks. Bette loved spending time with her family members and supported her grandchildren in their sport activities. Through-out the years she attended Jenks' baseball and football games. Bette also got great pleasure traveling with her friends. Bette Rae Kennedy was preceded in death by both parents: Ray Edmiston and Maxine Gregory along with her beloved husband, Larry Kennedy, who passed away July 2002.

Bette is survived by her two sons: Tony Kennedy and his wife, Charla of Glenpool; Scott Kennedy and his wife, Cindy of Bixby; her two brothers: Bob Edmiston and his wife, Christine of Jenks; Tom Edmiston and his wife, Lou of St. George, Utah; along with five grandchildren: Blake, Jordy, Cody, Chad and Mariah.

Visitation will be Monday, March 31st from noon until 8:00 p.m. at Schaudt's Funeral Service, 719 E. 141st Street, Glenpool.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1st at Faith Church, 1901 West 171st Street. Glenpool, Oklahoma. Reverend Troy Hayes will officiate. Interment will take place at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers the family has suggested that a donation in Bette's memory be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society €“ Oklahoma Chapter, 500 N. Broadway, Suite 250, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73102.
