Beatrice Marie Guthrie

On Saturday, January 25, 2020 Beatrice “Bea” Guthrie gained her angel wings at St. Johns hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She resided in Owasso, Oklahoma with her fiancé Alan Livingston.

Bea was born on December 15, 1940 to Norma “Schunk” Johns and Lester Johns in Connersville, Indiana.

She is predeceased by her parents Lester and Norma Johns. Her husband, James "Sugar" Guthrie. Brothers, Richard Johns, John Quesenberry, Walter Johns, Warren Johns, Jerry Johns, Ronnie Johns, and sister Phyllis Warvel. She was also predeceased by her in laws Howard and Marie Guthrie, Hazel Kindley, Charles “Brother” Guthrie, Garry Guthrie, and Robert “Bobby” Guthrie.

Bea grew up in Indiana, marrying James E. Guthrie on May 26, 1960 in Bethel, Indiana. In 1976 Her and James moved to Tulsa Oklahoma then later moved to Hallett Oklahoma.

She worked for McDonnell Douglas in Tulsa, Oklahoma for many years. Retiring from there.

She is survived by her Fiancé, Alan Livingston of Owasso, Son Darrell Guthrie and his wife Sharon of Hallett, Oklahoma, Linda Guthrie and her husband Charles Ingalls of Bartlesville Oklahoma. Grandchildren JT Bryant of Blackburn, Oklahoma, Amber Guthrie of Ponca City, Oklahoma Lindsay DeMania of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Kayla Ingalls of Atlanta, Georgia and her dog Toby. Also, her sister Pat Lippard of Indianapolis, Indiana as well as Penny Guthrie of Bethel, Indiana, Norma and Bob Null of Hollansburg, Ohio, Martha and Curly Defibaugh of Hollansburg, Ohio and Danny and Sandy Guthrie of Howell, N.J., Mary Guthrie of Tampa, Florida, Faye Guthrie of Clarksville, Tennessee as well many nieces and nephews.

Bea was a loving wife, mother and Grandmother and a friend to many. She was the “adopted” Grandma to Amanda Kelly and Cori Mesa. She loved to spend time with her fiancé, children and grandchildren. They were the light of her life. She enjoyed shopping, going to garage sales, and doing crafts. She was quick to make friends and never met a stranger.

A memorial and Burial service will be held in the Spring in Indiana.
