Barbra Sue Shaw, 64, Haskell resident, passed away at home with her family by her side Sunday evening December 14, 2014.
She was born in Prairie Grove, Arkansas on January 23, 1950 to her parents, William Lee and Betty Jo (Martin) Russell. While growing up, Barbra and her siblings attended many different schools since their dad worked on the pipeline.
She married Michael G. Shaw on October 13, 1973 and they had three children, Tonya, Kalia, and Aaron.
Barbra worked as a cook for Conoco Oil in Ponca City and was well known for her breads, and her delicious cinnamon rolls. Clients from around the world would request her cinnamon rolls if they were coming to Ponca City for business. She attended the First Christian Church in Ponca City. She also fostered over 75 children during her time in Ponca City.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Betty; her husband, Michael; brother, Jimmy Russell; as well as infant siblings, Ricky, Dean and Rebecca.
Barbra leaves many loving memories with her family, daughters, Tonya Shaw of Newton, KS and Kalia Shaw, of Haskell, OK; son, Aaron Shaw and wife Tiffany, of Phoenix, AZ; Brothers, David Barnett and wife, Nichole, Jimmy Barnett and wife Glenda, Jerry “JB” Barnett and wife Angie, Roger Barnett and wife, Lari; Sister, Pat Stark; brother, Sammy Joe Wade, of Broken Arrow, brother, Benny Barnett and wife, Jan, all of Haskell, OK, sister, Sharon Russell, of Stillwell, OK, brother Johnny Eli and wife Sharon, of Stillwell, OK; sister-in-law, Pam Russell; nine grandchildren, Tanna, Micah, Millie, Jason, Elizabeth, Maquay, Kristin, Jadon, Arianna; as well as many other loving relatives and a host of friends.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
