Barbara Yvonne (Griffin) Hernandez age 55 passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Barbara was born January 31, 1958 in Austin, Texas to Richard Griffin and Nancy Catherine (Griesheimer) Griffin. She graduated from Elgin High School. In 1976 she graduated from Austin Community College with a Associates Degree in Fashion Merchandising. Barbara worked as a cashier for Walmart stores for the past five years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Griffin.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Nicole McNamara and her husband, Steven of Glenpool; her daughter, Lucinda Hernandez of Bixby, her son, Simon Hernandez and his wife, Chloe of Seatle, WA, her mother, Nancy Griffin, her sister, Anne Torn and her husband, Paul of Beaukiss, TX, her sister, Janice Hungerford and her husband, Jim of Jacksonville, TX, her sister, Nancy Graham and her husband, John of Texarkana, TX, the father of her children, Simon Hernandez of Bixby, her loving four grandchildren, other family members and friends.

Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Midwest Agape Chapel, 5161 E. 171st Street, South, Bixby, Oklahoma. Pastor Robert Miller will officiate.

Memorial Donations can be made to the Lucinda Hernandez College Fund at any City National bank location.
