Ava W. Boatner

Ava W. Boatner age 90 passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2008 at St. John Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Ava was born September 4, 1917 to Richard Berry Wood and Elizabeth (Webb) Wood in Crowder, Oklahoma. She graduated from Crowder High School in 1934. Ava worked twenty years for the United States Army Ammunition Department in McAlester, Oklahoma before retiring. She was a member of North McAlester Assembly of God. In her spare time Ava enjoyed reading, gardening €“ doing yard work and she loved to take foliage tours.
Ava was preceded in death by both her parents: Richard and Elizabeth Wood and her son: Eugene Boatner; brothers: R. B. Wood, Orville Wood and Wilson Wood.
Ava is survived by her son: Mike Boatner and his wife, Teresa of Glenpool; two daughters: Lula Buie and her husband, Dean of Eufaula; Sue Miller and late husband, Larry of Glenpool; her daughter in-law: Sandra Boatner of Sand Springs; her sister: Lula Decker of Krebs along with eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 6:00 Sunday, April 20th at Schaudt's Funeral Service, Glenpool, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2008 at Schaudt's Funeral Service Chapel. Reverend Bob Hoppe will officiate. Interment will be at Woodland Memorial Cemetery in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
