Arthur Vincent Cecchini age 91 passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011 with his family by his side, at his residence in Jenks, OK. Art was born January 26, 1920 in Poughkeepsie, NY to Nazzareno Cecchini and Laura (Severino) Cecchini. Art graduated from Poughkeepsie High School and honorably served his country in the United States Army, receiving the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for injuries he sustained during battle. He worked as an entertainment manager for 20 years in Miami, Florida before retiring to Oklahoma to be closer to his son. Art enjoyed spending time with his family and enjoyed playing golf in his spare time. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Anthony and Arnold and his son: Ned Cecchini. Art is survived by his wife Eileen of Jenks, OK; his son: Joseph and his wife Rebecca of Jenks, OK; his grandson: Camden, along with other family members and friends. A mass will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Saint Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church, 4001 East 101st Street Tulsa, OK. Msgr. Patrick Gaalaas will preside. Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C. Schaudt of Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service & Cremation Care.
