Arthur Lee Bowen,Sr.

Arthur Lee Bowen, Sr. age 66 passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at his son's residence in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
Art was born December 10, 1942 in Greenville, Alabama to Early Bowen and Ella Mae (Gulley) Bowen. He graduated from Carter Parramor High School and received his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Physical Education from Cal State University in Los Angles. He served in the United States Marine Corps. Arthur retired in 1995 from LA Unified School where he worked as a teacher. Art enjoyed fishing and watching basketball. He was a gun collector and participated in quick draw competitions.
He was preceded in death by his father: Early Bowen.
Art is survived by his mother: Ella Mae Bowen of Quincy, Florida ; his son: Arthur Lee Bowen, Jr. and his wife of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; his three brothers: Herman E. Bowen of San Diego, California, Early Bowen of Gretna, Florida, Robert Bowen of Gretna, Florida, two sisters: Frances Bowen and Shirley Bowen of Quincy, Florida along with two precious grandchildren.
