Arthur Fredrick Rinehart

November 9, 1943 — August 24, 2020

Arthur Fredrick Rinehart of Tulsa, OK passed from this life August 24, 2020 at his residence at Montereau. He was 76.

Rick was born in Rotan,Texas to Art and Kathleen Rinehart. His family moved to Ponca City at a young age where Rick eventually graduated from Ponca City High School. He excelled at football and baseball in High School and always told the story of the time he threw a no hitter.

He went on to college playing football at Tonkawa Junior College and finished up at Northeastern Oklahoma State University where he majored in Economics.

Rick started his life-long insurance career going to work in Tulsa for Blue Cross & Blue Shield in the accounting department. He worked for BCBS for 25 years and left as the Executive Vice President of Marketing to start his own firm, the Rinehart Insurance Agency, which he retired from in 2019.

Rick loved watching his grandsons play sports, he would never miss a game, EVER. He spent lots of time fishing, golfing, smoking cigars - he really just loved being outside.

Rick spent several years traveling with his friends and family, be it cruising the Rhine, or traveling to San Diego and even spending time in Oregon. He also, loved riding his Harley, took several trips with his brother Mike to Sturgis, Canada and Colorado to name a few of the rides with the best stories, that we for sure can’t share here-ha! Rick absolutely had a Red Beer at every destination stop in all his travels. But home for Rick was on the water at Grand Lake, he loved that place!!

Rick was preceded in death by his parents Art & Kathleen Rinehart.

Survived by his son Greg & Melissa Rinehart, grandchildren Ryker & Ramsey Rinehart, Rachel, Mallory & Laurel Finkenstaedt. sister, Kay & Gary Thompson and brother, Mike & Teresa Rinehart and 5 nieces and nephews. Rachelle and Todd Honohan and their 4 boys. Friend and travel companion Sherry Swanwick.

In accordance with Rick’s wishes there will be no service.

Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

So please feel free to toast Rick on your own at any time, lift that Red Beer or Scotch to the sky and let Rick know this one is for him.
