Arlen Campbell, a dedicated truck driver and adventurer, departed this life on February 1, 2024, in Glenpool, Oklahoma, at the age of 88. Arlen was born on September 30, 1935, in Edmond, Oklahoma, to his parents, Velda and Eva Mae Campbell.
Throughout his life, Arlen embraced the open road as a truck driver, accumulating hundreds of thousands of miles on his journeys. His passion extended beyond the highways, as Arlen held a pilot's license and found joy in the skies, cherishing the freedom that flying afforded him. In his younger years, golfing brought him great pleasure, and he could always discover a sense of peace while fishing.
Arlen is preceded in death by his parents, Velda "Pat" Campbell and Eva Mae and Spurgeon Davis, three siblings-Wayne, Myrna, and Joy-and two grandchildren, Chad and Charise.
He is survived by three children, Mark, Shely, and Sharon, along with Sharon's husband, Kevin. Arlen leaves behind four grandchildren-Ben, Joe, Jeremiah, and Candace-along with 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service to celebrate Arlen's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Schaudt's Glenpool-Bixby Funeral Service, 1329 East 151st St. Glenpool, OK 74033, with the burial following at Haskell Cemetery.
