Nadine Cumbie, a resident of Wewoka, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the age of 78. She was born October 14, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Bob Cumbie; son, Jerry Wesley Gordon; granddaughter, Sheila Louise; two sisters; mother, Mary Skinner; half-brother, Samuel Skinner; step-father, Francis Skinner; two aunts, Mae and Maggie; foster family; foster parents, Schultz – 3 foster sisters; five foster brothers; nephews, Pete, Doyle, DeWain & babies; one baby boy; nieces, Helen Louise, Betty Louise and others. Survivors include her daughters, Donna and Carl, Jr. Bloxhamm of Red Oaks, OK; Penny Louise Wallis and husband, Marian of Henryetta; Roberta Jean Bevill-Yargee and husband, Thomas of Wewoka; son, Terry Ralph Bevill; Tina and Joe Fisher of Okmulgee; step-children, Jerry Bob and Kandi Cumbie of Baytown, TX; Paula and David Cumbie of Highland, TX; Leslie and Janice of Spring, TX; Steven and wife of Beaumont, TX; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Henryetta. Burial will follow the service at the New Sonora Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Henryetta. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
