Anna Louise Patty, a beloved mother, grandmother, and faithful member of Newspring Family Church passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at the age of 83. Anna was born on January 29, 1940, in Indianola, Oklahoma, to her parents, Jesse and Clara (Wooten) Tyler.
She was raised in Indianola and after graduation, she moved to McAlester. Louise married Dan Patty and they made it their home there until 1965. They then moved to Sand Springs, Oklahoma, where they created a loving and nurturing environment for their family. In 1965, they moved to rural Tulsa County, where Anna continued to be a devoted wife and mother. In 1994, Dan and Louise relocated once more, this time to Glenpool, Oklahoma, where they continued to build their lives and share their love with the community.
In addition to her roles as a loving mother and grandmother, Louise had a passion for hobbies that brought joy to her life. She was known for her skillful knitting and sewing, creating beautiful pieces of art that will be cherished by her family for generations to come. She also worked for many years at Hissom Memorial Center in Sand Springs, Oklahoma in the food service department beginning in the 1970's until her retirement in 1990 along with working for Glenpool Public School. She was also a wonderful caregiver. Louise was also a dedicated member of Newspring Family Church for an impressive 29 years, where she served her community with unwavering devotion. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and her presence will be missed within the church community.
Louise is preceded in death by her husband, Dan Patty since 2014, as well as her father, Jesse Tyler, mother, Clara Tyler and her brother James Tyler. Although she has left this world, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Louise leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her sons, Mike Patty and wife Bonnie Sue, and Jim Patty and wife Dana. Her nurturing and caring spirit also touched the lives of many other loving relatives and a host of friends, who will forever treasure the moments shared with her. Anna is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Brandon Patty and wife Ashley, Daniel Patty, Ryan Patty and wife Laura, and Mariah Patty. She also leaves behind a host of great-grandchildren, Reese and Walker Patty, Jed Patty, Blakely Patty, Leland Patty, and Lyla Patty.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the public viewing and visitation, which will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Schaudt's Glenpool-Bixby Funeral Service & Cremation Care Centers. A Funeral Service to celebrate Louise's life will take place at 10:00 AM on September 11, 2023, at Newspring Family Church, located at 2907 W 108th Pl S, Jenks, Oklahoma. Pastor Greg Ables will officiate the service with Mike and Ryan Patty speaking as well, offering words of comfort to all those in attendance with a graveside ceremony following the funeral service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Mannford, Oklahoma.
