Ann Ethel Childress

Ann Ethel (Holt) Childress of Glenpool, OK, went to meet her Lord and Savior on September 28, 2021.

Ann was born in Tunica, MS, to Neely Holt and Joella (Jones) Holt on August 11, 1945.
She graduated from high school and went on to attend college. Her greatest accomplishment and love in her life was her daughter, Vivian. She loved to sew and often made clothes for herself and Vivian when she was younger. Ann was a believer in Jesus Christ and lived her life in accordance with the Bible, which was evident with her soft-spoken, caring, and generous spirit. She was a faithful member of Church on the Move and attended services online this past year. Ann enjoyed going out to dinner, shopping, and attending the fair. She worked as a technician for the Whirlpool Corporation for twenty years and had just retired after 20 years, in August of 2021. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and hard work.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Neely and Joella Holt, siblings; Arvelia, Armenia and Jessie.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Vivian Childress, several nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021, at 10:00 AM in the Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Chapel, 719 E. 141st Street, Glenpool, OK 74033.

Interment to follow at South Heights Cemetery, 1815 S Ridgeway St, Sapulpa, OK 74066.
