Alvin Lwyne Jones

Alvin Lwyne Jones, age 50, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2006 at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mr. Jones was born March 8, 1955 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Luther Jones and Julia Mosley Jones. Alvin graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1973 where he was a defensive lineman and running back for the school's football team. He attended Oklahoma State University and an electronics institute in Kansas City. He at one time was a chef for the Marriott Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri. Most recently he worked at KSHB TV in Kansas City as a television director before returning to his hometown of Tulsa. Mr. Jones was a church member at Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
In his space time Alvin enjoyed reading, walking, listening to jazz music and gardening. He got great pleasure cooking for his family and friends at holiday gatherings.
Alvin Jones was preceded in death by his parents: Luther and Julia Jones.
He is survived by two sons: Charles Alexander Jones and Robert Alan Jones of Kansas City; one brother: Luther Duane Jones, Tulsa, Oklahoma along with a host of aunts, uncles, grandparents and friends.
