Alvie Files

Alvie “Bozie” Files, a resident of Henryetta, passed away on January 9, 2011 in Henryetta at the age of 88 years old. Bozie was born on December 31, 1922 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Elzie Files and Pearl Kirby. He worked as a Supervisor for the Pittsburg Plate Glass Company for 42 years. On June 21, 1944, he married Zada Allen in Burbank, California. Bozie was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Zada Files, his parents, brothers, Arvie Files, Max Files, and Leon Files; sisters, Vivian Sims and Jewell McCarty. Bozie is survived by his son, David Files and wife Brenda of Burkburnett, TX, son, Terry Files of Witchita, KS, daughter, Patty Thurman and husband Gary of Suffolk, VA, sister, Geneva Baird of Texas, Arbin Files of Pretty Water, OK, Chris Files of Tulsa, OK, 8 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and one great great grandchild, as well as numorous other relatives and friends. Visitation for Bozie will be held on Wednesday, January 12 from 12:00pm – 8:00pm and on Thursday, January 13 from 8:00am – 8:00pm at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Henryetta. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 1:00pm at the First Christian Church with Pastor Kris Denning officiating.
